Before you come in

Is the hospital open at night and on Sundays?

Yes. The emergency and trauma unit and the intensive care unit run 24 × 7, every day of the year. For OPD and consultation timings, please call the helpline — 88063 61444.

Do you take cashless insurance?

Yes. Tarangan is empanelled with health insurance companies and TPAs — the full list is on the Insurance & Schemes page. Tell the desk it is a cashless case before admission and bring the card with a photo ID; the hospital raises the pre-authorisation and follows it up with the insurer.

Are Ayushman Bharat and MJPJAY accepted?

Yes. The hospital is registered under Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY), the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Bring the beneficiary card and an identity document and the desk will check eligibility.

Do you have an ambulance?

Yes. Call 88063 61444 or 72185 35444 and an ambulance can be sent. Both numbers are answered around the clock.

Can investigations be done at the hospital itself?

Yes. The pathology laboratory, digital X-ray, sonography, colour doppler and 2D echo are all on site, so the tests a surgeon asks for do not mean a separate trip.
